What is PkWeb?

PkWeb is a "Plug In" for Netscape Navigator and Internet Explorer that allows communications with Pick, Stratus and Unix host systems.

How does PkWeb work?

You create a html document, i.e. web page, with the appropriate configuration information, such as host address, font size and window height/width. When your browser accesses this web page PkWeb is loaded and you are connected to your host system.

Do I need a WebServer to use PkWeb?

No. The web page can be local on the personal computer.

Do I have to change anything on my host system?

No host system changes are required. The host thinks it's communicating with a terminal.

What terminals does PkWeb emulate?

PkWeb emulates the ADDS Viewpoint/Regent, Hazeltine HZ-1500 series, Lear Siegler ADM, PC Term, Stratus V102, Televideo 900 Series, Wyse WY-50 and Zentec Z8000.

Do I have all the features of a terminal?

Yes, plus copy/paste, hot-keys, local printing, print redirection, full color support and scripting for automatic logon's.

What are the requirements for PkWeb?

You need Netscape Navigator 3.0 or Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.0 a telnet connection to your host system and Windows 95 or Windows NT.

How much is PkWeb?
